Prepared around project-specific written quotes and applicable manufacturer terms. Review with Alliant’s legal adviser before publishing.
Before the shipment arrives.
Confirm the receiving contact, appointment, access route, and unloading arrangements described in your order documents. Check that the site can safely receive and store the equipment.
Review which party is responsible for unloading, placement, installation, and removal of packaging. These responsibilities follow your written project agreement.
Check and document the delivery.
Compare the shipment with the delivery paperwork. Where inspection is possible, check quantities, packaging, model information, and visible condition before completing the handoff.
Photograph visible damage, keep packaging and shipping labels where practical, and record missing items or concerns on the delivery paperwork. Follow the carrier’s receiving instructions.
Raise concerns promptly.
Notify Alliant promptly if items are missing or you discover damage. Provide the order reference, delivery date, affected products, photographs, and a copy of the delivery receipt.
Concealed damage and freight claims may have specific reporting deadlines. Follow the requirements in the applicable carrier, manufacturer, and project documents rather than assuming a universal reporting period.
Coordinate the next step.
Contact the project team before arranging a return, replacement shipment, or service visit. The available options and any costs depend on your written order, the applicable manufacturer or carrier terms, and applicable law.
Use your project documents.
Delivery services, risk allocation, charges, and responsibilities are addressed in the applicable written quote and project agreement. This page is a receiving guide and does not replace those documents or limit statutory rights.
